Park Hotels & Resorts Inc. (“Park”) (NYSE:PK) announced today that Carl
A. Mayfield has joined the company as Executive Vice President—Design &
Construction effective September 17, 2018. Mr. Mayfield will report
directly to Thomas J. Baltimore, Jr., Park’s Chairman, President and
Chief Executive Officer.

Mr. Mayfield joins Park following 14 years as the Senior Vice President
of Design & Construction at RLJ Lodging Trust (“RLJ”) where he was an
integral member of the senior management team. During his time at RLJ,
Mr. Mayfield was responsible for providing enterprise leadership to
RLJ’s project management team and overseeing all phases of capital
projects. His responsibilities included disaster remediation, energy
management and conservation strategies, physical due diligence,
budgeting, scheduling, brand coordination, contracting and capital
execution. He also provided leadership on all aspects of development
projects which included programming, planning, entitlements, budgeting,
and public-private partnerships.
Prior to his tenure at RLJ, Mr. Mayfield was the Project Executive for
Georgetown University's $300-million, mixed-use campus expansion
project, "Southwest Quadrangle Project." Mr. Mayfield previously held
senior positions representing Washington Sports and Entertainment and
the World Bank. Mr. Mayfield’s 32 years of progressive experience
managing multi-million to multi-billion-dollar portfolios in design,
construction and real estate development projects has covered the broad
spectrum of residential, commercial, sports and entertainment, and
hospitality.
Mr. Mayfield earned a B.S. in civil engineering from the University of
Delaware and an M.S. in real estate development from Johns Hopkins
University. He serves on the board of directors of the American Red
Cross of the National Capital Region and the Montgomery County Boys and
Girls Club. He is also an executive mentor to graduate students at the
Georgetown University McDonough School of Business.
